WIA Press
Association
Power of Truth in Journalism
A non-profit professional association standing with ethical journalists and citizen reporters — empowering every voice that speaks truth to power.
Together, we build honest media.
A Guardian of Truth in the Media Age
WIA Press Association is a registered non-profit organization (Reg. 205-82-73725) founded to strengthen press freedom, protect journalists' rights, and nurture the next generation of media professionals.
Led by Chairman Seungju Ji, we believe that healthy democracy depends on well-informed citizens and journalists who uphold the highest standards of accuracy, fairness, and accountability.
Membership is open to aspiring journalists, working reporters, and everyday citizens who want to contribute meaningfully to public discourse — regardless of background or experience.
Neither left nor right — we belong to no camp.
We stand only with the facts.
Our Philosophy
Sipsiilban — a Korean proverb meaning "ten spoons of rice make one bowl." Just as each spoonful alone cannot satisfy, every journalist's contribution, however small, adds up to something greater: a society where truth is safeguarded and every voice is heard.
WIA Press Day — October 10th
Established by WIA Press Association to honor journalists worldwide and reaffirm the values of press freedom, responsibility, and solidarity.
Learn more about WIA Press Day ↗"A journalist's first obligation is to the truth. Their first loyalty is to citizens. Their essential discipline is verification."— Principles of Journalism, as affirmed by WIA Press Association's Ethics Code
